What is sports nutrition?
Sports nutrition is a vital component of an athlete’s performance/recovery. Sports nutrition is the science behind how the food we eat can influence the way we perform and recover. Sports nutrition helps us understand what foods are good and what foods are not along with what we should eat in order to perform as best as possible.
Timing of eating food:
What food you eat before working out can be a make or break when coming to your performance. Your pre-workout nutrition provides the energy your body needs to be able to function optimally. Choosing the right foods is essential for your performance to be at its peak.
Pre-workout foods :
If you are looking for foods that are good for pre-workout you want to look for food that are high in carbs. Carbs are important factor of a pre-workout meal because they are the main factor of where you would get your energy from. Some foods that are good in carbs are foods like whole grain bread, brown rice, whole grain cereals, wheat pasta, sweet potatoes, fruits and veggies.
